I love jewelry, being that I grew up with my father in the industry, and have always dreamt of designing someday. I was thrilled to get the opportunity to design a piece for a charity auction. I have been involved in AIDS related charities for a long time and was grateful to the gold council for their donation to YouthAIDS on my behalf.
I lost a very special teacher to AIDS in 1993, and since then have put my energies into raising money and awareness in hopes of finding a cure for AIDS and for preventing the spread of the disease worldwide. I have since become a mother, and YouthAIDS focuses on educating children all over the world about AIDS, and providing relief and treatment and prevention. It’s a charity that I think is very special
About my charity: Youth AIDS
YouthAIDS, an education and prevention program of PSI, uses media, pop culture, music, theatre and sports to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS and reach 600 million young people in more than 60 countries with life-saving messages, products, services and care.
